The Rental Agreement comprises these terms and conditions and the rental document setting out the hire details which is provided with each vehicle at the point of hire (referred to in these terms and conditions as the "Rental Document"). The Rental Agreement is made between Kefalonia Car Limited (here in referred to as "the owner") and the person and/or company signing the Rental Document (here in referred to as "the hirer") whose particulars are recorded in the Rental Document. It is hereby agreed as follows:
In order to rent a car from Kefaloniacar.gr the renter must:
1. Age Requirement:
Driver must be a minimum of 25 years of age at the time of the rental for car Categories Α, Β, and C. For all other car Categories minimum driver’s age is 25 years.
2. Drivers license:
A valid driving license held for at least one year is required. Driving licenses issued in any country-member of the European Union are acceptable. Driving licenses issued in countries not members of the European Union have to be accompanied by a valid International Driver’s Permit (IDP).
3. Minimum rental period:
a. Minimum rental period is three (3) days. Every hour in excess is estimated at 1/5 of the daily rate. For over three (3) hours in excess, the renter is charged with an additional daily rate.
4. Fuel:
The Renter is obliged to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as it had when collected. In the case of returning the vehicle with less fuel, the renter will be charged with the fuel difference. No refunds are issued for vehicles returned with more fuel than when collected.
5. Traffic fines:
Tickets and attached administrative sanctions resulting from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law during the rental period are solely the renter's
responsibility.
6. Insurance:
Full insurance package without exemption (no excess). In particular, insurance coverage provided is the following: ⦁ Basic insurance against third parties up to 1.200.000€. ⦁ Material damage to third parties up to 1.200.000€. ⦁ Personal accident insurance covers the driver of the vehicle for physical injuries up to 12.000€. ⦁ Mixed insurance with full coverage on the rental vehicle without the client's participation in the damage. ⦁ Full theft insurance for the vehicle [does not include personal items of the driver or/and other passengers]. ⦁ Full insurance in case of glass breakage. ⦁ Full insurance in case of fire of the vehicle. ⦁ Tires are fully covered by the insurance. ⦁ 24-hour road-side assistance. ⦁ In case of failure of the vehicle we provide free replacement. ATTENTION! Does not include: damages to the interior of the vehicle, damages to the down side of the vehicle, any damage caused off road, loss or/and destruction of the keys, any infringement of the driving code that is verified/assured by the police. Insurance does not cover if the driver is under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
8: Mileage restrictions:
"Kefaloniacar.gr" offer "Free mileage" from the first day! No mileage restrictions!
9. Delivery /Collection:
Free at the airport, at "Kefaloniacar.gr" offices (within office hours 09.00 to 21.00) and in a radius of 15 km around them .For deliveries/collections in longer distances (or for out of office hours) the extra cost will be shown at the price analysis of your booking.
10. Across the Border rentals:
An advance written authorization from "Kefaloniacar.gr" is required.
11. Ferrying the car:
An advance written authorization from "Kefaloniacar.gr", is required.
12. Payment methods:
"Kefaloniacar.gr" accepts payments either in cash (€) or by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) & Debit cards.
13. Reservations/Availability:
All bookings and reservations are made by car Group and not by car model . "Kefaloniacar.gr" reserves the right to change a car model to an equivalent model or to upgrade model in exceptional cases.
NOTE TO HIRER
NOTE - THE OWNER MUST GIVE THE HIRER AT LEAST ONE COPY OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT WHICH MUST BE KEPT IN THE VEHICLE THROUGHOUT THE TERM OF THE HIRE AND PRODUCED ON DEMAND TO AN ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.
